My Brother-in-law & Other Stories

I was in the choir

If you do not know it yet, I was a member of the choir in college. In the choir of our size, we had four voices: the Alto, the Bajo, the Soprano and the Silencio . I belonged to the last group.

Our choir performed all over the country. One time we were invited to perform in Davao . We went by air and it was also my first plane trip.

On the approach to Davao airport, we were reminded to fasten seat belts. We did. But as we gradually lose altitude to land, we were met with strong air pockets. The plane began to shake. I was also so shaken by the rough landing. Thanks we were safe!

As we filed out of the plane, I saw hundreds of people waving at me at the airport. Yes,   they are waving at me; they are waving at me! It is clear and I can see they are waving at me.

I waved back! My reputation in the choir as a good performer must have preceded me, I thought.

And later I knew. To my great embarrassment, in unfastening my seat belt after the rough landing, I also unfastened the belt holding on my pants and they're down!
