Pres. Arroyo should do the Roosevelt in time of crisis

It is unrealistic and un-Filipino to oust Pres. Arroyo, as advocated by former Defense Secretary Fortunato Abat. Gloria had been elected by majority of the Filipino voters and her victory confirmed by the Supreme Court. At least Pres. Arroyo is no doubt honest in her endeavor to solve the economic crisis in our country.

When the United States experienced the worst 1930 economic depression, Pres. Delano Roosevelt ordered the U.S. Bureau of Treasury to spend government's frozen money in the vault for public works construction such as roads, highways, bridges, ports, railways, public buildings and other infrastructures all over the 50 U.S. States. When the nationwide government projects started in 1930, thousands of people were employed in all Americal states and millions of dollars were spent for the purchase of construction materials, salaries of engineers, architects, foremen and of laborers. There was plenty of money in circulation that honestly went to the pockets of engineers and laborers and these people began to crave for personal necessities and household needs. As a result of the unprecedented boom, stores, factories, restaurants, markets, movie houses and other business enterprises grew by leaps and bounds. Taxes paid to the government by businessmen and merchants, entrepreneurs and professionals and workers paid off and money plowed back to the U.S. Treasury coffers. The Americans were united in their hour of suffering and prosperity. Since the 1930 acute depression and up to the present time, Americans experienced untold prosperity. Government officials and private contractors did not resort to graft and corruption but work hard and honest endeavors.

Pres. Arroyo can do what Pres. Roosevelt did for his country in time of economic crisis. But is there money from the Philippine Treasury? Where did the millions of dollars go loaned by the Philippine government from Japan, U.S., Germany, Australia, United Kingdom, South Korea, Singapore and other Arab countries?

As long as Pres. Arroyo has a soft spot in her heart for grafters and corruptor right in her own administration, the Philippines is doomed to economic collapse very soon.

Madam President, kick out the crooks and grafters in the BIR, Customs, DPWH, LTO, LTFRB, DENR, Central Bank, GSIS, SSS, DepEd, Congress and even in Malacañang! It is only then Mrs. President that you will leave a lasting legacy to the Filipino people. Gloria act now before it's too late. Use your emergency power to destroy evils in your government. Ask God's intervention in fighting the satanic forces in your regime. Pray hard daily until our nation is back to happy days again!
