Gov. Perez lauds Culasi Punong Barangay
Gov. Perez, Brgy. Capt. Baliguat and local officials
of Culasi during the turning over ceremony in
Brgy. Valderrama, Culasi.
San Jose, Antique-Governor Salvacion Z. Perez recently recognized Barangay Valderrama in Culasi as a model barangay - thanks to the able leadership of its Punong Barangay Arturo J. Baliguat whom Perez declared as worthy of emulation.
Gov. Perez led the inauguration of Brgy. Valderrama's health center, barangay hall, day care center and the barangay plaza, all completed with the aid of the provincial government.
Perez was still bowled over at how the barangay officials, headed by Hon. Baliguat could have managed to put up these major barangay facilities with the measly P 50,000 granted by the provincial government."This is an evidence of how efficient governance could make things possible".
These laudable efforts of the barangay officials have inspired the governor to grant the barangay's request for a school building and an additional teacher for Barangay Valderrama Elementary School.
Perez also turned over to Municipal Health Officer Dr. Roselyn Babayen-on some weighing scales, in support of her on-going campaign against malnutrition. Furthermore, Perez also announced the future construction of the Brgy. Osorio - Brgy. Alojipan road, which amounts to P 2.5 million, sourced out by the governor from the Department of Agriculture through Sec. Domingo Panganiban.
Other officials who graced the said inauguration included SB Members Edgar Alolod, Pilar Alocija and Emmanuel Palacios and Provincial Engineer Vicente Dalumpines. (PIO)
