Iloilo Yearbook 2005 launching set
The first ever Iloilo Yearbook will be launched this coming January 27, 2006, 4:00 p.m. at the Fountain Area of Robinsons Place Iloilo.
Top officials of the city and province are expected to grace the meaningful occasion.
Iloilo Yearbook 2005 is a project of The News Today, the most dynamic and interactive local newspaper in the region. The book's maiden edition has as its cover the historical and magnificent St. Anne Church in Molo district the home base of The News Today.
Printed in full color on 200 pages of quality coated paper, Iloilo Yearbook 2005 is part coffee-table book, part magazine and part almanac. It chronicles and captures significant moments of Iloilo's history, government, people, lifestyle, tourism and culture through vibrant artistic photographs complemented by interesting and compelling essays and articles authored by some of the province's leading writers.
It also provides current and authoritative information on the province and city; documents major social, cultural and political events; records economic and recreational trends; showcase tourist destinations, festivals, and local products; as well as present pertinent and useful statistical and historical information.
The launching of Iloilo Yearbook 2005 is even more significant as it coincides with the celebration of the city's biggest event, the Dinagyang Festival.
The book which costs P650.00 is now available at The News Today office and will soon be out in major bookstores in the city and other major cities in the country.
