Informant affirms CEO racket vs. SDA Church
Information regarding the illegal money-making activities of unscrupulous employees at the City Engineer's Office (CEO) continue to pour in although the ad hoc committee headed by City Councilor Perla Zulueta already ended its investigation.
Zulueta said over the weekend she received information that two separate groups from the CEO actually transacted with the the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church for the issuance of their occupancy permit in the amount of P120,000.
Zulueta said such could be the reason why two sets of occupancy permits were issued to SDA.
In the first set of occupancy permit, a certain Anom, not Ano as earlier reported, signed as the architect who made the architectural plan of the new SDA building along Jalandoni-Ledesma Streets.
The second set of architectural plan was signed by a certain Allan dela Riman, a casual employee of the CEO.
In last week's investigation Architect Rene Militante accused the CEO of intentionally changing the name in the architectural plan he has submitted and claimed it as their own.
Militante threatened to press charges against those responsible for the infringement.
Unfortunately, Zulueta said they could not file any charges against those who have a hand in the illegal transactions as their investigation is only in aid of legislation. However, she said, anyone could provide the Ombudsman a copy of their recommendation. The committee is expected to render their recommendation after one month.
