OPINION POLLS
If you were a city councilor, would you vote for the legalization of the Small Town Lottery? Why / why not?
MARTIN PANES
Yes! It means jobs for Ilonggos.
MARTIN SORIANO
I think we should legalize gambling, prostitution and marijuana just like Germany and Flanders... BUT... can the rest of our species take it? I mean in terms of Darwinian evolution some brains may have been left behind like our monkey ancestors hahaha. Sa iniskwater maoy-maoy da sila eh kay daw mga amu (monkey) pa sila.
MILDRED NECESSARIO
Yes I would because it is additional revenue for the government. I will bring more jobs so more people will be able to feed their family. Gambling has been an integral part of human life especially us Pinoys. Filipinos are bred and born hopefuls that's why game shows are always a hit to us because it gives us that slight glitter amidst the gloomy situation of most Filipinos. Legalizing STL is quite a big gamble after all to those politicians because it can make or break their precious career.
MARVIN DU
I'm not in favor with the legalization of small town lottery. I think that the lottery will promote laziness to the people because instead of encouraging people to work hard to earn money, the lottery will let the people want to earn money the easy way. In that way the lottery will encourage people to be lazy.
MIKE HECHANOVA
Yes, if it will benefit the city in terms of profit sharing from the PCSO why not...
PEPE ISADA
Yes, betting on sports, games, lottery etc. is an integral part of human nature, people will always look for something to bet on, if the government can make something out of it, why not?
