CPU Republic inducts new set of officers

The CPU Republic (CPUR) elected and appointed officials for the school year 2006-2007 held their Induction Ceremony last July 13, 2006 at the Dr. Alfonso Uy Student Union Conference Hall.

Units by the CPUR President
The inducted CPU Republic officers for this school year are led by Marvin Segura (AB Political Science and Public Administration 4), CPUR President and Ex-Officio Member of the CPU Board of Trustees, and Myrthylle Karen Rey (BS Secondary Education Major in English 3), Speaker of the Parliament and CPUR Vice President.
Induction Governors and Vice Governors
The members of the Parliament were the eight elected senators and representatives with Olufunso Oke Jr. as the elected Prime Minister of the Cabinet, Arjay Binas, Mark Roy Causing, Ashere Nisseth Equina, Darnel Forro, Tiffany Rose Gale, Ray John Pamillo and Carlo Edward Sagge. The representatives from the eight different departments were Yvonne Pampag (Education), Wharson Arguelles (Arts and Sciences), Ruben Sajulga (Theology), Aiza Coronado (Engineering), Maybelle Alemani (Agriculture), Loida Mecisamante (Computer Studies) and Robert Jade Dabandan (Commerce).
Induction of Senators and
Representatives
This year, there are 108 elected officials and 49 appointed officers. For the local Government Units, there were nine inducted governors and vice governors with 72 board members in all.
Also present during the ceremony were three former CPUR Presidents, namely, President Juanito M. Acanto, Mr. Christian Gilbert Cataluna and Ptr. Alfred Morales, former CPUR Senator Rev. Joniel Howard H. Gico and former Arts and Sciences Governor Atty. Jojie Balume and the National Vice President for Students of the Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas (KALIPI) Mr. Lex Tupas.

CPU President, Dr. Juanito M. Acanto and Iloilo City Councilor, Hon. Jed Patrick Mabilog, served as the Inducting Officers for the members of the CPUR Parliament and Prime Minister, and CPUR President and Vice President, respectively. Hon. Mabilog also gave the Keynote Speech during the ceremony. The CPUR Governors, Vice Governors, Board members and appointed officers were inducted by CPUR President, Marvin Segura.
The induction ceremony ended with a fellowship snacks.
