IHS Class '56 Scholarship Program, Inc., awards scholarship grants to deserving students of INHS

After the flag ceremony of the Iloilo National High School last August 22, 2006, the IHS Class '56 Scholarship Program, Inc. represented by Atty. Nicolas Sonalan, Program Chairman and President, together with Mrs. Joanah G. Combong, Program Treasurer, and Mrs. Wilsonia C. Palomero, Chairperson, Program Screening Committee, awarded Certificates of Scholarship to Jerlyn May Sales, 2nd year, Section 1, Karen Joy Bibaoco, 3rd year, Sec. 1, Ma. Sophia Estella Tajolosa, SOF-4, entitling them for free payment of school fees, PTA support fund, computer fees, books and other instructional materials and a stipend of P100 per month for 10 months effective this school year 2006-2007.
Dr. Mario M. Celo, newly appointed School Principal and Dr. Evelyn M. Sorolla, Assistant to the Principal for Programs and Projects thanked the members of the Class of 1956 for their initiative and noble concern for the poor but deserving students.
The IHS Class '56 Scholarship Program, Inc. is a non-stock non-profit corporation established by the members of the Iloilo High School Class of 1956 as a vehicle through which efforts and resources of its members and of the members of the community contributing to its cause may be channeled to establish and finance scholarships for the benefit of deserving students, preferably the less fortunate and giving first preference to the descendants of Class of 1956 of the Iloilo High School, now Iloilo National High School.
Members of the Iloilo High School Class of 1956 are invited to call on Mrs. Wilsonia C. Palomero at telephone no. 320-37-81 should they have qualified descendants for the scholarship grants.
