Priest seeks police help as thieves ransack Church store
Unidentified suspects ransacked anew a Church-run cooperative store in Zarraga, Iloilo and cleaned-up all items for sale including boxes of candles, prayer books, rosary beads and the Church’s sound system.
A doubly terrible crime, Parish Priest, Father Quirico Palma said in a radio report particularly since the incident was not a first for the town and the parish of Zarraga.
And like the previous incident, the suspects hit the Church early morning of Sunday with full Church services slated that day.
A plea for help was now made by Father Palma to authorities of the Zarraga Police Office seeking assistance and protection as he appealed to locals for support and the suspects themselves for forgiveness on the crime committed.
To date, police have no leads nor identities of the suspects believed to be at least a group of three culprits.
