DOT warns Boracay visitors vs. extortion syndicate

Holy Week 'ceasefire' on

From the government's Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to the Church's Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), candidates are enjoined to a "ceasefire" as Christians slow down and mark the Holy Week.

As such, clear reminders are out on all bets that a prohibition is set for all and any sort of campaigning particularly Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

Iloilo is a haven of very talented young artists and this is evident during the opening of Panan-awan '07, an art exhibit held at SM City Iloilo recently. The artworks were made by the graduating students of the Iloilo National High School Special Program for the Arts who are taking up visual arts. Their works touched on diverse topics like nature, feelings, food, spirituality and culture.
