ICCHCC celebrates Heritage Month

The Iloilo City Cultural Heritage Conservation Council (ICCHCC) will hold a series of events today in celebration of the Heritage Month. This year's theme is "Tradition of Bamboo."
At 10 a.m. will be the launching of CBD Heritage Catalog at the Fountain Area of Robinsons Place Iloilo.
After the exhibit launching, there will be a Painted Paraw Exhibit at the Iloilo River. At 7 p.m. the Iloilo Heritage Gala will be held at the historic Antillan House (Sason Residence) in Jaro district.
The ICCHCC was formed by a group of concerned Ilonggos in the year 2000 and was formally organized the following year through the support of the Mayor Jerry Treñas.
Last 2005, the Kalye Real Forum was organized by the ICCHCC to gather all the vintage house owners all over Iloilo. Its objective was to promote awareness on the city's existing architectural heritage which could serve as tourist attractions.
