Memorandum of Agreement at Camp Delgado,

As official representatives of their respective organizations, Chief Supt Wilfredo V. Dulay Sr., Regional Director of Regional Office 6 and Dr. Evangeline C. Johnson, Chief Executive Officer and President of Saviour Internal Hospital (SIH), and Bacolod Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital (BOLMSH), entered into an agreement for all PNP medical referrals. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed on the commemoration of 109th Philippine Independence at Camp Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City on June 12, 2007.
The MOA stipulates, among others, that "All PNP employees and their parents and direct dependents, both active, retired and reserved, including non-uniformed personnel coming to the Hospitals for consultation, drug testing, neuro-psychological testing, medical check-up, diagnostic examination, etc. or hospitalization shall present the PNP ID card. The PNP ID card will also have to be presented for inpatient cases." It further provides that the SIH and BOLMSH agree to allow hospitalization and treatment of PNP employees and their qualified dependents without requiring initial deposit provided he/she presents the sponsors PNP ID. The 12% across-the-board discount after deducting PhilHealth benefits on all hospital bill will also be given to the PNP employee and their qualified direct dependents.
Dulay said the partnership with Saviour International Hospital will surely boost the morale of the PNP personnel and their families. "The cost of hospitalization is always a burden to our men who seek medical attention and the privileges granted by the MOA would hopefully alleviate this concern," Dulay said adding, "we are grateful for the Saviour International Hospital, especially to Dr Johnson, for her coming into agreement with us."
The MOA took effect on June 4, 2007 and shall remain in full force without change for a period of two (2) years and renewable from year to year unless either party shall give notice of its intention to terminate or modify the condition of the agreement at least thirty (30) days before the intended date of termination or modification.
Dulay designated Supt. Quirico V. Acap Jr. as the official Hospital Coordinator of PRO 6, while Dr. Victoria L. Gendrala is the Official Coordinator of Saviour International Hospital and Dr. Antonio Vasquez is the Official Coordinator of Bacolod Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital.
