Young leaders gather in Boracay
The JCI Iloilo Ilang-ilang officers and members
Last July 14, 2007 different clubs of the Junior Chamber International, Inc. gathered in Boracay Island for their 3rd Area Council Meeting.
Their were 11 local organization presidents who attended the council meeting namely JCI Iloilo Ilang-Ilang, JCI Iloilo, Mandaue, Metro Cebu Uptown, Catbalogan Balud, Inc., Cebu Sinulog, Cebu Inc., Zugbuana, Bacolod, Metro Iloilo Dinagyang and Sagay Sigay.
The gathering was headed by JCI Sen. Manuel Van Torrevillas, National Executive Vice Pres (Area IV). Also present were: JCI members Fulbert Woo (National Senior Executive Vice Pres), Jozak Bautista (National Secretary General), JCI Sen. Joni May Tan (NVP-Western Visayas) and Salgado (NVP-Central Visayas).
Past national officers who came during the meeting were JCI Sen. Tonkie Arriola (PNVP), JCI Sen. Chito Buenaventura (PNVP), and JCI Mem Jay Edward Amatong (IPNEVP-Area V).

Also present were JCI members from JCI Iloilo, Bacolod, Zugbuana, Cebu, and Catbalogan.
The meeting was hosted by JCI Iloilo Ilang-Ilang headed by their LOM President Mahlie Gapasin. The event wouldn't be successful if not for the effort of chairperson Ma. Theresa Malones, co-chair Lynn Sio and other members Bea Jarantilla, Kathy Naria, Kristine Dagohoy and Val Granada.
The meeting lasted for three and a half hours. The one day event turned out very successful with 37 delegates all in all. Fellowship followed after the meeting to enhance camaraderie with other JCI members.
JCI is a worldwide federation of young professionals and entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40.
JCI aims to contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing the opportunity for young people to develop the leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change.
