Pray for our government leaders
When our government graft busters like the Ombudsman, the Anti-Graft Commission and the Courts may not be able to hunt down dishonest personnel in government, let's turn to our creator, God. Let's pray to God that He will renew the heart of corrupt government officials and personnel so that our millions of hungry countrymen in slums and remotest areas can eat three square meals a day or be given medicines. Instead of some few government officials pocketing millions of money they do not deserve to own but instead spending these millions to our hungry, homeless, sick, and disadvantaged members of society, let's pray to God to intercede to be led by our righteous people in Pentecostal, Evangelical and even Catholic Charismatic churches. Proverbs 15:29, "The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous."
Intercessionary prayer is very important, "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, ye rather, that is risen again who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." Romans 8:34.
Why are the hearts of corrupt government officials hardened? It is because of love of money and wealth. Per se, possessing money is not evil, but the love of money is the root of all evil. Judas sold Jesus Christ for 30 pieces of silver. But owing plenty of money, stolen at that, cannot be a passport to heaven. Money cannot buy one's salvation. But when you give money to the less fortunate especially those in Africa where millions of children and adult perish because they have money to buy food and medicines then money is good. Rod Parshley, the world reknown Pentecostal-Charismatic preacher over Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) has been appealing to Christians in America and around the world to help even one meal a day to hungry and millions of dying African children.
Pray to Lord Almighty God that our crooks in government will stop stealing the people's money but turn their lives to God for salvation and eventually eternal life. Pray daily and unceasingly until our President, Senators, Congressmen and personnel up to the barangay level will stop their evil desire to get rich at the expense of the suffering millions of Filipinos. Remember our beloved government officials and employees that when our Lord calls you up yonder, not a centavo will you bring to heaven. Roads in heaven are made of pure gold. But don't ever dare to steal it.
