In the spotlight
Ilonggos are not only known as sweet, loving and charming folks around the globe but more so of their distinct talent and brilliance in different fields.
An increasing number of Ilonggos have made their names recognized in the field of arts, music and dance. Truly the talents of the Ilonggos are undefeatable for they can rank at par with the rest of the world.
Speaking of gifted Ilonggos, SF School of Dance, owned by renowned Sol Fernandez had its Recital, "In the Spotlight", Student Showcase 2008 at the Colegio de San Jose recently. Different dances like ballet, hiphop jazz and contemporary were featured in the show that lasted for two hours. It has three themes namely; Nut Craker Ballet; Filipino Segment, that used the Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika Songs; and the That's Entertainment. Broadway and Disney songs and music were used in the presentation.
"In the Spotlight" was staged to showcase the participants' flair in dance and everyone was the lead as they swayed, hurdled and grooved in the center stage.
The SF School of Dance is geared to enhance the student's potential and qualities that are essential to the artist: strong classical technique, musicality, coordination, dedication and commitment to the arts.
