Summer fun with the seniors

Summer is fun! And one activity that was a hit amid the summer heat was the Senior Citizen Association's Search for Gandang Lola 2008. More than a hundred lovely lolas from different municipalities and districts of Iloilo were screened for the pageant. The top 10 were chosen for the grand finals which was held at the Gaisano Activity Center.
And the winner is Lilia Goco of Iloilo City. She is 79 years old and very popular in the ballroom dancing circle. Aside from the major title, she also won four minor awards --- Best in Production Number, The Most Energetic Candidate, Best in Talent and the Darling of the Crowd.
The event was spearheaded by Joseph Den Sablos and Marivic de la Cruz, head officer of the Ads & Promo Department of Gaisano Ciy.
