RRLS-ICTA launched

After six years, the RRLS-ICTA has formally detached itself from the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University last Nov. 7, 2008.
Its founder and namesake Raymund Ronald Lacson Sebastian (RRLS), grandson of John B. Lacson, was present to grace this momentous occasion. The school was named after him, while ICTA stands for Information Communication Technology Academy.
Engr. Ralph Pador, president, said that RRLS-ICTA will help put Iloilo City in the forefront of the ICT industry.

Councilor Lex Tupas, said that he is thankful for RRLS-ICTA for enhancing young people's skills for this is vital in the local economy. He is also happy that the academy helps find jobs for their students after their training. Tupas was once a faculty of the school.
Dr. Raymund Gomez, a graduate of the academy, said that his training in medical transcription gave him the life that he wanted and a good paying job. His work is home-based.
RRLS-ICTA has an updated curriculum, interactive environment, 'students muna' mentality, competent faculty, competitive spirit and supportive administration.

It offers TESDA-registered courses like two-year Computer Programming, two-year Computer Technician, one-year PC Operations, Medical Transcription (492 hours) , Call Center Course, Scholarship for Call Center (100 hours) and Medical Transcription (160 hours). Short-term proficiency courses like MS Word, Excel, Access, Power point, and Adobe Photoshop are also offered for tutorial or group classes.
The academy is located at the John B. Lacson Building of JBLFMU in Molo.
