The search for Mr. and Ms. West Visayas State University (WVSU) 2009 recently highlighted the University Week annual celebration.
This yearly celebration is participated by different colleges and external campuses of the University. It recognizes the students’ abilities.
Winlove Dupit and Jude Ryan Seares of the College of Mass Communications (CMC) were hailed as Mr. and Ms. WVSU '09.
Vincent Batayola of the College of Education (COE) and Reyna Rose Tañales from the College of Nursing (CON) bagged the first runner up position.
Karlo Jay Laud of Integrated Laboratory Schools (ILS) and Trezza Marie Montalvo of the College of Education (COE), were second runners-up.

The said search was sponsored by the College of Education (COE), Integrated Laboratory School (ILS), Education Student Council (ESC), and University Student Council (USC)
Arriane Argañosa, previous Ms. WVSU Centennial and Ms. PASUC Queen from the College of Mass Communications finally gave the crown to Dupit.
