Human resource confab set
The Regional Council of Personnel Officers (RCPO) in partnership with the Civil Service Commission Regional Office No. 6 will hold its 1st Regional Congress of Human Resource Management Practitioners (HRMPs) on June 3-4, 2009 at Punta Villa Resort, Iloilo City.
The theme of the Congress is “Strengthening the Role of HRMPs Towards a MERCI-ful Bureaucracy,” which aims to provide HRM Practitioners (AOs/HRMOs/HRMOs/As Designate) with updates in order to enhance their competencies on the different areas of personnel management. This is in line with the Commission’s thrust to promote Morale, Efficiency, Responsivenes, Courtesy, and Integrity in the civil service.
Activities lined up for the 1st Regional Congress include the following- Personnel Benefit Updates on the Revised Compensation and Classification System as embodied in Senate joint Resolution No. 23 by the Department of Budget and Management; Discussion of the salient features of Personnel Management System-Office Performance Evaluation System (PMS-OPES); Ombudsman update on Operation Red Plate; Update on Government Hospitalization Program, Personnel Records, Computerization System and Actual Actuarial Life of GSIS; Presentation of RCPO Constitution and By Laws, and Election of a new set of officers for the said organization. CSC Commissioner Mary Ann Fernandez will grace the event as keynote speaker and discussant on PMS-OPES.
The CSCRO6 encourages HRMPs to become a part of the first Regional Congress in the history of Western Visayas.
