Emerald Lions Club in a joint induction
The Emerald Lions Club was among the five Lions Clubs that were inducted during a formal program at the Grand Hotel last Oct. 2, 2009. The other clubs were Iloilo City Executive Lions Club, Iloilo City Metro Lions Club, Iloilo City United Lions Club and Iloilo Gardenia Lions Club.
Emerald Lions Club President, Teresa Macalalag said that the induction fell on the 13th anniversary of their club. She’s thankful that such a joint induction was held and it speaks well of what Lions should do – adopt the all for one and one for all attitude in order that Lions will “move to grow.”
She said that the Lions’ growth will not be limited to club memberships but on the ability to fulfill their commitment and responsibilities as Lions through payment of dues, attendance in meetings and helping the club.
The club’s officers were inducted by District Governor Manuel Jalandoni, PJMF while the new members and Leos were also inducted by Past District Governor Eden Anthony Tan, MJF.
