Mambusao gets loan for water system
ROXAS CITY – Aside from Cuartero and Dao towns, the municipality of Mambusao under the leadership of Mayor Jose “Joe” Alba will also avail of a loan grant amounting to P11 million from Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA).
This was revealed by Alba after he and a representative from LWUA met recently in connection with the financing of water district in Mambusao.
According to him, the P11 million budget for water district will have an initial of 1,000 water concessionaires for three barangays in Mambusao.
He added that the water district will tap the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) dam as a source of water.
Earlier, Cuartero Mayor Roger Flores said that President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo through LWUA granted the loan in the amount of P11.6 million for Cuartero Water District at his town.
He also said that the same loan was granted in Dao where they simultaneously constructed their water district for the residents in their respective towns.
Flores said that water concessionaires will not shoulder the loan but only pay the operational expenses of the water district since the loan was a grant.
