Caper Berry opens
Caper Berry, a restaurant that specializes in Mexican food and a little bit of international fare, has opened along Burgos Street, La Paz recently. Warmly greeting the guests were owners Ador Apuan and Khoie Haresco. The exemplary taste buds of Ador (of Balbis fame) and the business acumen of Khoi (of Camisa) is the perfect combination in this new business venture.
According to Chef Ador, what sets Caper Berry’s culinary offerings apart is the use of real herbs. “We never substitute,” he said. He also makes it a point that the presentation does not only invite the diner to dig in, but also takes into consideration one’s comfort in enjoying the fare.
The chef was trained at the Orange County School of Culinary Arts, an annex of Princeton University. He managed Almon Marina, a deli shop, for 12 years and is presently the owner and chef of Balbis.
