Mooon Cafe opens in Iloilo
Mooon Café is a Mexican inspired eating place serving typically international cuisine, but with more focus on Mexican fare and the interior is reminiscent of a Mexican cantina. And it’s now in Iloilo!
Mooon Café has earned the reputation for serving great tasting Mexican foods in town such as Chimichanga, Quesadilla Uno, Quessadilla Veracruz, Beef Burito, Campesinos, Nacho de Salsa, Beef Taco, Fish Taco, Burito Pescado, Campesinos Jalapeno, Chicken Flautas and Nacho Spinners.
Mooon Café also offers for their main course, the popular Mooon Steak, Beef Tips, Chicken Mozzarella Melt, Pork Belly, Pork Chop, Peppered Beef, Mexican Baby Back Ribs and other Mexican dishes. Fish lovers can also enjoy Fish Mozzarella Melt, Blue Marlin, Tangigue Steak, Breaded Fish Fillet and Tuna Belly. The restaurant also serves different cocktails and drinks.
The customers who come back for the food, the drinks and the friendly atmosphere, are more than enough reason for Mooon Café to be considered an icon of Cebu’s dining scene.
Mooon Cafe is now owned by Pages Holdings Inc. It was previously owned by three Fine Arts students of the University of the Philippines Visayas Cebu College. The three Os in the restaurant’s name represent the three previous owners, The café, has been in Cebu’s restaurant scene for 10 years before it was acquired by Pages Holdings Inc. It has continued to attract the market of young professionals, families and foreigners.
Currently, there are three company-owned Mooon Café outlets in Cebu City–in Barangay Guadalupe, The Walk in Asia Town IT Park and The Terraces in Ayala Center Cebu. The company will be opening two more company-owned branches this year-one in Parkmall and the other in front of Chong Hua Hospital.
After contracting RK Franchise Consultancy to put in place its franchising system and opening the franchising opportunity to the public, Mooon Café will be opening its first franchise outlets in Cagayan de Oro and the cities of Lapu-Lapu in Cebu and Dumaguete in Oriental Negros. The Iloilo outlets located at Robinsons Paseo Iloilo and SM City Iloilo are company-owned.
Mr. Bunny Pages bought the franchise of the restaurant in 2008 and presently sits as the Chairman of the Board. Behind every great businessman are strong and dynamic business partners in propelling Mooon Café, Thristy, The Playhouse and Bright Academy. Charlie Pages sits as the President of the company and John Pages as Head of the Operations. The family-team always take the necessary steps and actions to bring about great transformation in restaurant business with fervor and foresight. Charlie Pages is optimistic that five years from now, the company will be able to establish 25 outlets nationwide.
