Kap Ernie Poral on the hot spot
We pity Punong Barangay Ernie Poral of Brgy. Ingore, La Paz. He has been subjected to nasty rumors after the May 10 elections. There is a story that he was slapped by Donya Pacita on the face after he asked for additional budget during election day. Another story is that Donya Pacita threw a saucer on him. Kap Ernie, through a Bull’s Eye agent, categorically denied all those nasty rumors. He said there’s no truth to those stories as he still maintains a good relationship with the Gonzalezes. In fact, Donya Pacita will be arriving from Manila today, May 27, and will be hosting a dinner for barangay captains and Kap Ernie was tasked to gather his colleagues. Further, the beleaguered barangay captain said that certain groups from the incoming administration are out to discredit him because of his loyalty to the Gonzalezes.
Showdown
There is information that incoming city councilors under the Team Palanga and Team Uswag have a misunderstanding over the distribution of committee chairmanships. Team Palanga councilors, namely, Joshua Alim, Lyndon Acap, Rodel Fullon, RLeone Gerochi, and Plaridel Nava reportedly felt that they were treated as “second class” citizens in the distribution of committee chairmanships. Apparently, prized committees were given to the Team Uswag city councilors, namely, Lex Tupas, Perla Zulueta, Edward Yee, Joe III, Jason Gonzales. Team Palanga councilors also felt that the meeting where the distribution of committee chairmanships was made was kept to them. Barangay election
This early, some persons are already positioning themselves for the incoming barangay election in October. With the Treñas-Mabilog on the helm of the new administration, it is expected they will field candidates against all barangay captains who are identified with the Gonzalezes.
