Janiuay PNP: No report of slay plot on mayor-elect
As far as the Janiuay Police Station is concerned, they have not received any report on the alleged assassination plot against Mayor-elect Frankie Locsin.
Janiuay PNP chief Insp. Engilbert Banquillo said that no report – whether official or rumors – came to their attention.
In fact, “Mayor-elect Locsin also did not call our attention about it. He has not talked to us about that alleged assassination plot,” he added.
Earlier, rumors pointed to a plan to allegedly liquidate Locsin before he will assume post on June 30.
There have been reports of alleged guns-for-hire who will take on the job.
But the information did not point to any individual or motive relative to the liquidation plan.
Recently, three suspected notorious criminals were arrested in Brgy. Guadalupe, Janiuay, Iloilo.
While the three might have violated the law, their offenses are more on their alleged robbery involvement.
Meanwhile, Locsin was quoted to be unfazed of the alleged assassination plot against him.
The returning’ mayor claimed that the rumors could have been made-up by individuals who are against him.
