New BJMP-6 head sets thrusts for this year Superintendent Rodolfo A. Rivera, newly designated officer-in-charge of the Regional Bureau of Jail Management and Penology 6 (RBJMP 6), has noted the urgent need for both office and field personnel in the region to be more responsive with their tasks and assignments. In a staff conference held at the onset of this year, Supt. Rivera who is a true-blooded Ilonggo, stressed the much needed vigilance of jail officers in different BJMP-controlled jails in Western Visayas even as he expressed delight that no jail disturbance or escape has transpired during the entire Yuletide season. He reminded all the personnel of the jail bureau's basic code of behavior that includes wearing proper uniform, office ethics, and courtesy. "My heart bleeds when RBJMP 6 encounters undeserved problems because of intrigues and lapses. Let us be united and revive our old moniker as the Region of Achievers," said Supt. Rivera, who was adjudged as "Most Outstanding Warden and Jail Provincial Administrator" by BJMP national hierarchy in 1996. Prior to his present position as ARD for Administration and concurrent designation as OIC, Supt. Rivera was assigned as Warden of the famous Manila City Jail and Asst. Regional Director of RBJMP 10.
