Get jobs thru text, internetGet jobs online. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-6) has launched its connectivity project, a new approach that would help jobseekers to find jobs through the “in-demand” technology of texting and internet. Labor Employment Officer Chief Carlos Bela-ong told The News Today that the project aims to promote employment and address the unemployment problem while at the same time empowering the workers. Bela-ong stressed this will enrich and strengthen workers' empowerment as they could now choose better jobs through means that are affordable and accessible to everyone. Bela-ong has urged jobseekers to “self-advertise”. This would be done by texting one's profile including name, age, hometown, course, years of working experience, contact number, and skills and competencies. Applicants are requested to register their “self-ads” and limit of 160 characters then send it to 700-36536 for Smart subscribers. Bela-ong explained this would enable us to market the Ilonggo skilled workers even abroad. |
