Rotary Centennial Art Auction promotes Ilonggo artists and aid landslide victims

In line with the celebration of the Rotary Club Centennial Anniversary, an art auction was held to promote Ilonggo visual artists and sell their works for the benefit of the landslide victims of Nakar , Quezon last February 23, 2005 at Hotel del Rio. The event which opened at exactly 5:45 p.m. was simultaneously launched with the gathering of prominent Rotary Club members for their Centennial Celebration in the evening.

The 17 featured Ilonggo visual artists who displayed their wonderful and well-crafted paintings that night for auction were Mark Gonzales, Rymer Gengoni , Jezrel Casandra , Lucell Larawan , Javin Militar ,   Arch Jomprie Moleta , John Garingalao , Jed Mendrame , Orly Faleo ,   Ef Alfaras , Mike Moleta , Ralph San Luis, Jaymar Gaguio , Earl John Martirizar , Yannie Rose Noble and Ritchie Baylon . The invited visitors and guests were mesmerized to the exceptional works of the Ilonggo artists who continue to preserve the essence and significance of arts in the preservation of our cultural heritage as well as inspiring the younger generation of Ilonggos to   embrace the wonderful world of arts.

This unique and one-of-a-kind art auction was spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Iloilo West in cooperation with Rotary Club of Infanta , Quezon .
