Through this stunning fashion event that started at exactly 5:30p.m. ,Ms.AngeletteBorja-Ragus , critically acclaimed as empress of Metro Iloilo's shimmering fashion scene confidently unveiled her well-crafted and panoramic designed wardrobe creations. Her stylish and near-celestial ingenuity mirrors the richness of our centuries-old local fabrics such as ‘ hablon ' and ‘ patadyong ' that were all weaved from the remnant of our immortal Ilonggo culture, a weaving wealth that we should be proud of. Ms. Borja-Ragus using her expertise in fashion blissfully merges in astounding unison the contemporary clothing trend with our culturally inspired local fabrics. Since the College of Education is a part of an institution that celebrates a centennial year of molding young minds in the essence of Exemplary Christian Education for Life (EXCEL), Ms. Borja-Ragus together with Iloilo City 's most respected fashion event director Mr. Bombette Marin produced a fashionably vogue yet educational kind of spectacle capable of instilling the great appreciation, preservation and treasuring our cultural roots as Ilonggos who has a distinct age-old fashion taste. The celestial parade of multi-colored ‘ hablon ' and ‘ patadyong ' clothes filled CPU's Rose Memorial Auditorium with unexpected and overwhelming applause. So, does that simply mean what your “ lola ” wore before may have fashion gravity and attraction in this modern day of fad revolution? Your guess is right.
