Kathleen Denise Escarilla is one fine witty girl blissfully transformed into an elegant lady during her 18 th Birthday last February 26, 2005 held at Oh Shanghai! Restaurant along Diversion Road . Her exclusive and well-attended party was graced by prominent people, close friends and of course, her family who remains to be the wind beneath her wings. She came out and paraded her wonderful gown with stunning elegance that only a beautiful blooming lady like “KD” (as she is fondly called) can unveil such fragile beauty. In the evening of her splendid debut party she delivered a sentimental message of generosity to the important people who never failed to share their love for KD. Here's her wonderful message and feast your eyes to the great people who shared their smile, laughter and presence to make her special night truly memorable… To some, it is a relief because turning 18 means one is an adult and she is already expected to live life as an adult individual. But for me, it is not. Instead, it is a mixture of anxiety, challenge and joy because turning into an adult individual is not an overnight process. It will take time, constant struggle, and lots of prayers to do what is pleasing to God, what is acceptable in our society , and what is pleasing to my family despite the constant peer pressure, and temptations of the world. I always believe that the key to contentment and happiness is having a great heart. Being grateful to God at all times, being grateful to my family for all their love, support and care, to my aunts and uncles, cousins and relative, I'm really blessed having you as my family. Also, I would like to thank my mom, whose in the States right now, for all the things she did for me, for her unconditional love and unending support. For my dad, who if not with hi, I'm not born in this world. Thank you for my lola who was patient enough to understand me. For my lolo who already passed away who really touched my life in a lot of ways and to whom I owe a lot and to all of you who are here right now witnessing my celebration of life and joyful thanks giving, once again thank you.
