Nadine Samonte's starstruck X-factor

Hello people! I don't want to use “haller” as my intro this time coz' somebody doesn't like it. Well, that's fine for me as long as the essence of my writing isn't compromised and people are able to relate with the stories of the glittering stars that I'm featuring week after week.

Speaking of Sandara Park , the story and sentiments of the pretty SCQ star invoked a lot of my readers and texters to tell me that they really appreciate the two-part series of articles. Right now, I've heard that she's finishing a movie with Hero Angeles together with her fellow SCQ stars Joross and Roxanne entitled “Can This Be Love” before the sensational actress fly for Korea . So, I hope those nasty columnists in Manila would stop bombarding her with falsified rumors because Sandara is a very friendly and humble lady. Next week I'll publish some of my reader's responses about this fiery column and please don't fail to catch the last two parts of my story “Teks sa Outbox” in TNT's Youth and Campus page every Tuesday issue. I swear, you'll love it (or hate it?)…

Blah blah blah… this week it is my pleasure to unveil and reveal the inner essence and secrets of Nadine Samonte of Starstruck Avengers batch 1. This lovely and stunning half-German half-Pinay GMA exclusive contract star captivated a lot of fans and boys in the local entertainment scene via her sensational afternoon soap operas “Ikaw sa Puso Ko” and the fantaserye “Leya” that ended few months ago. She was given the lead role together with her gorgeous leading man Oyo Boy Sotto (son of Vic Sotto and Dina B.). But her original loveteam partner is actually Dion (a fellow Starstruck avenger) but since this cherub-face lass is truly alluring the GMA executives gave her lead roles because they knew that she posses a charm or an ‘X-factor' to raise good ratings for the TV network. Lately, I've heard that GMA is planning to give Nadine a prominent role of their upcoming primetime soap opera but remained unconfirmed. My encounter with Nadine actually happened few weeks ago at Robinsons Place Iloilo together with my dear friends Cheaster Cabasac and Charo Ponclara. The prolific marketing officers of the mall, Diana Clyde Clavero and Rofel Pareño never hesitated to grant me a very exclusive chat with the pretty Starstruck lass at Robinson's administration office. Anyway, thank you guys and I hope I can repay your goodness someday.

Okay, let's skip the minor blah blahs! Let's dive in to Nadine's story and sentiments. Nadine Samonte (her screen name) or Nadine Eidloth is a 16-year-old lady was born on March 2, 1988 (She celebrated her birthday last week with her fellow Starstruck friends and Biboy Ramirez, the GMA youngstar rumored to be courting her was there, hmmm). She was born in Rosenheim , Germany to a German father named Frank Eidloth and Edgerta, a Filipina mother. She has a 14-year-old sister named Nicole and a 3-year-old little brother named Edmond who possesses angelic features like her. Nadine loves watching DVD' during her free time and read pocketbooks especially those with romantic themes. In fact, her mom who was on her side during the interview confessed that this pretty girl watch four to five DVD's a day (that's a lot huh!). Her most loved films are ‘ Pearl Harbor ' with Ben Affleck of Daredevil fame and the recent Hollywood box office hit ‘Meet the Fockers' with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro (The film was really wacky and crazy according to Nadine). But above all, Nadine admired the acting prowess and versatility of Julia Roberts and Tom Cruise. Nadine is also a music lover. In fact, she enjoyed the songs of Emilia who sang   “Big Big World” and the legendary Luther Vandross. Her fondness for romantic songs and mellow music reveals that Nadine is truly a sentimental lady. If she didn't become an actress, this pretty gal would really want to be lawyer.

Later, we talked about her dreams in showbiz world and her rise to stardom. Nadine revealed that before she auditioned for Starstruck she was formerly launched as a part of rising 11 th and 12 th batch of young stars in the other giant network (before TV talent search invaded your primetime viewing). However, I guess luck and destiny has its own unfathomed way that made her previous attempt in showbiz to fail and shine in another way. However, Nadine's first step of entering showbiz began with her cameo and later major appearances in various TV commercials and print advertisements. That's how she was noticed by the other giant network and gave her an offer to be launched as a star but as we all know her Starstruck feat turned out to be the feather in her cap. As our conversation got deeper and more personal, Nadine revealed a sensible character, affable attitude towards other people, sweet and innocent fragile essence of personality. I could also feel the strength and confidence of her heart the way she answered all my thought-provoking queries that sometimes showed her wacky side. Believe me, no man can resist the charm of Nadine every time she unveils and unseals her soul. Not because she has a pretty angelic face but her presence is soothing, gentle and her eyes spoke of undeniable allure that will surely melt your heart away (especially the boys hehe!). Her mom was always there to support her lovely daughter in her every mall tour and endeavors in the showbiz world.

Anyway, I asked her relevant and revealing queries such as… Can you describe Oyo Boy Sotto and Dion?, If love is calling you to give up your career, would you do it? Or what are the three things that people don't know about you but they deserve to know?... Opps! Sorry guys no more space left for now.
