DLR gives P7.5-M worth projects to 4 Iloilo towns Four municipalities in the province of Iloilo are lucky enough to become beneficiaries of P7.5 million worth of infrastructure projects courtesy of the Department of Land Reform (DLR) which is now headed by an Ilonggo Sec. Rene Villa. The beneficiary towns are Miag-ao, Badiangan, Janiuay and Bingawan. P1 million belongs to Miagao for the rehabilitation of Malagyan-Banbanan farm-to market-roads (FMR). Badiangan will receive P2 million for the rehabilitation of Sitio Puro Maris Tina FMR (P500,000), rehabilitation of Sariri-Latauan FMR (P700,000), construction of Cabangan multi-purpose pavement (MPP) (P200,000), rehabilitation of Sitio Puro Marin MPP (P100,000) and rehabilitation of Manaolan-Sitio Baong FMR (P500,000). Meanwhile, Janiuay got P3 million for the rehabilitation of Jibolo-Tuburan Farm to Market Road (FRM) and Bingawan for the rehabilitation of Inamyungan-Poblacion FMR (P500,000), rehabilitation of Inamyungan-Guinhulacan FMR (P500,000) and rehabilitation of Guinhulacan-Tapacon FMR (P500,000). Villa said during the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), “these are only initial projects for his Ilonggo constituents and more projects has been lined up for Iloilo this year.” He vowed to focus on areas, which were overlooked by the previous administration particularly Mindanao and Panay . Villa added his department is considering solar power as spot project to be constructed in off-grid areas, that cannot be reached by electricity. |
