Eye Opener Pray to God for rain
Water level at the Maasin Water Reservoir is 93.50 meters above sea level, according to Engr. Le Jayme Jalbuena, MIWD manager, during his talk with the members and officers of Jaro Cultural & Heritage Tourism Foundation and CREBA joint meeting Tuesday noon at Amigo Terrace Hotel. Rain is about to pour heavily by the end of May and first week of June when farmers are given a chance to plant palay and other legumes. In the old Biblical times, Jewish-Hebrew farmers gave ten per cent of their produce to God. Even today, there are a number of true-blooded Christians who obey the ten percent giving of their harvest and are blessed by God. Present day farmers and producers who are not reading the Bible do not obey the ten percent giving. Where do you give the ten percent offering? To the church where one belongs. Not only the produce from farming is the ten percent required but also in one's income from jobs and businesses. Why do Christians, particularly the Evangelical, Pentecostal and other Protestant denominations give 10 percent or more of their income or produce from their farm/enterprise? In Genesis, Abraham gave one tenth of all his possessions to Mechizedek, the priest of the most high God. So when we obey God and pray for rain, He is just ready to answer the plea of His people. Keep on praying God Amighty through His son Jesus Christ to give us rain until the dry farmlands will overflow with water. God will also give us the living water if we will only accept Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and Redeemer. He will give us Living water that we His children will thirst no more. Rain will no doubt come once we are sincere in our prayer. Lord give us this day not only our daily bread but daily water not only to quench our thirst but to water our plants and drink for our animals. Thank you God for answering our prayer, for you said that the prayer of a righteous man availeth much. |
