Special promo, special tax

The plane fares have increased again and so I thought I would use my senior citizen card to get a discount.

But when I presented it, the airline clerk said that there is no senior citizen discount because the rate is already a special promo fare, which already gave a discount.

And so I said I will take the special promo fare.

But when I paid over the counter, there was added P733.00 as special tax.  The special tax was bigger than the special promo discount!
