The University of San Agustin through the USA Center for Culture and the Arts and the Philippines-Spain Friendship Day Committee led by event chairperson Ms. Elena Jison-Golez capped the two day celebration of fil-hispanic ties with a Noche de Gala at the CAP auditorium featuring the USA Troubadours, Kawilihan USA and the Centro Flamenco.

The Iloilo City Cultural Heritage Conservation Council unveiled a video documentation specially produced by project partner ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation through the Regional Network Group.  Through the video documentation ICCHCC aims to build stronger support and appreciation from both building owners and the local community for the preservation of the city's heritage sites that is unrivalled anywhere else in the country.

Señor Javier Galvan of the Instituto de Cervantes was presented a copy of the video by ICCHCC Chairman Arch. Antonio C. Sangrador.

Students receive a gift from from ICCHCC courtesy of ABS-CBN during the matinee Q&A on the heritage video.

Rotary Clubs led by the mother club sponsored elementary school children to the matinee with the objective of further educating them on the richness of Spanish influence on Ilonggo culture as can be seen through songs, dances, traditions and the look of old Iloilo as preserved in some of the city's most historic and noted landmarks.

Present during the Noche de Gala and thanksgiving dinner were Mayor Jerry Treñas, Mrs. Aurora Lapuz-Sagaz wife of Spanish Ambassador Ignacio Sagaz, DOT Reg. 6 Dir. Edwin Trompeta, Mr. Zafiro Ledesma of the Museo Iloilo, Ms. Terry Sarabia of the Iloilo City Convention Bureau which co-organized the two day celebration and other members of ICCHCC: Councilor Merci Drilon-Garcia, (Chairman, Committee on Tourism), Mr. Nonel Gemora (Rotary Club of Iloilo), Mr. Eugene Jamerlan (member Fil-Spain Organizing Committee), Dr. Kristine G. Treñas, Ms. Desiree Bretaña (ABS-CBN Regional Marketing) and Mr. Joseph William CG Albana.
