Gilopez Kabayao Foundation stages The Miracle Worker

For its second theater production for the year, the GILOPEZ KABAYAO FOUNDATION, INC. is staging William Gibson's dramatic play ,

THE MIRACLE WORKER , based on the real life story of Helen Keller, the blind, deaf and mute girl whose world was opened to unbelievable opportunities after her teacher, Anne Sullivan, taught her to communicate thru sign language. Eventually, Helen Keller studied at Radcliffe University and after four years graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude , wrote books and traveled around the world to share her life story.

The Miracle Worker casts

The same production outfit that brought MY FAIR LADY to Iloilo and Manila early this year will bring The Miracle Worker, first to Iloilo in August and then to Manila in September. Joan Paulette “JP” Libo-on directs an all-Ilonggo cast led by Farida Pineda Kabayao as Anne Sullivan , Richelle Dollosa as Helen Keller ( Jessica Mogate alternates as Helen Keller ), Dora Jane Balleras as Kate Keller , Jon Jainga as Capt. Arthur Keller and Teddy Tan, Jr. . as James Keller . The production side will be handled by Roman Sanares for Set Design , Geofrey Obe , Technical Design , and Film Direction
