DILG-6 employees CSC Pag-asa awardees
Two DILG-6 employees qualified as PAG-ASA awardees during the 105th anniversary of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
The awardees were chosen by the CSC for their contribution and performance as public servants, which directly benefited more than one department of the government.
DILG Technical Services Division Chief Clyne Deocampo and Valderrama, Antique Local Government Operations Officer Berlito baldevia received their plaque of appreciation, gold-gilded medallion and P50,000 during the awarding ceremonies at the Cultural Center of the Philippines on September 28, 2005.
Prior to her current assignment at the Regional Office, Deocampo was the City Local Government Operations officer of Roxas City, in Capiz. She was chosen for sharing her skills and expertise in local finance administration to the LGUs leading to the formulation of revenue codes of 120 barangays and five municipalities, resulting in a substantial 10 to 30 percent increase in revenues which were used to improve delivery of basic services.
Baldevia on the other hand, was recognized for his untiring effort in initiating economic programs like the Bayanihan Savings Replication Project (BSRP), as well as the formulation of the Integrated Area Community Public Safety Plan, which benefited the neighboring municipalities.
DILG Secretary Angelo Reyes said that he hoped the two would continue to excel in the performance of their duties and be a source of information for the rest of the officials and employees in the DILG.
DILG Regional Director Evelyn A. Trompeta said that her office conceptualized the Performance Incentive for Service and Novelty (PISAN) awards some years back to recognize best performing DILG employees.
In the 2004 PISAN awards search, Deocampo was rated Best CLGOO while Baldevia got the Best LGOO V prize, which led to their nomination to the CSC PAG-ASA Awards.
Dir. Trompeta said that they have a lot of dedicated and committed public servants at the DILG and Clyne and Berly are some of the examples.
CSC Chairperson Karina Constantino –David said in her letter to the DILG, that she believed that the recognition given to the awardees “extend well to the agencies that have nurtured the culture of excellence.” (PIA 6)
