Awesome humor
These past few days I have so much to thank for and God really is a good God! Last week for me was kind of sad and joyful at the same time its hard sometimes to believe one can feel both in just a matter of days without effort.
It was sad because of a couple of things. One, I heard the news about Vivian’s brother, Ivan who passed away. Though it was a reason for my friend to be back here in Iloilo and of course, I am happy about it after all I kind of miss her, but it had to be because of a death in her family. Another bad news was that a good friend, Audie is in the hospital about to be operated then of a bleeding in the brain, some aneurysm whatever not sure what it was though basta, it was kind of serious! Anyway, the good news about it is he survived the operation and apparently, somewhere along the way a brain mass disappeared out of nowhere. Thanks to the BLD prayer warriors from all over the Philippines and the world who stormed the heavens to pray for this good person. It was a tough week and I must say God really has a sense of humor. Awesome humor! Thinking back of what happened, I find it kind of funny to be sad and joyful at the same time and all in a week’s time but He can make it so! He is the Master Creator who can take a life and also, who can give it back to those who He feels have yet to fulfill a mission here on earth. He can make a person sad one moment and instant elation the next minute. Everything is possible with Him. I would always look forward to a rainbow after a storm because that is how God makes me see things and makes me realize how important it is to live, laugh and be sad sometimes. It is what life is all about after all!
I pray for comfort and peace for the family of Ivan; that they may find a deeper meaning in their lives from the loss of a loved one. I thank God for listening to our prayers when we asked that He grant another life for Audie. Truly, life is such a precious thing that even a minute of waste is such a waste! Live, love, make peace, forget yourself and give more of it to others. See the good things rather than the bad. Be positive about others than think ill of them. Be humble, it’s a great gift ever! Let go, let GOD!
Let me share with you these jokes I downloaded from a religious website I subscribe regularly. Funny but reality sets in so read and learn!
LORD, GIVE US A SENSE OF HUMOR
JOKE 1:
There is the story of a pastor who got up one Sunday and announced to his congregation: "I have good news and bad news. The good news is we have enough money to pay for our new building program. The bad news is, it's still out there in your pockets."
JOKE 2:
"Somebody has well said there are only two kinds of people in the world. There are those who wake up in the morning and say, "Good morning, Lord," and there are those who wake up in the morning and say, "Good Lord, its morning."
JOKE 3:
There was a very gracious lady who was mailing an old family Bible to her brother in another part of the country. "Is there anything breakable in here?" asked the postal clerk. "Only the Ten Commandments." answered the lady.
JOKE 4:
There was a church that had problems with non-members parking in their lot, so they put up a sign: CHURCH CAR PARK – FOR MEMBERS ONLY! Trespassers will be baptized!
LORD, GIVE US A SIGN
SIGN 1:
Give God what’s right – not what’s left
SIGN 2:
The church is prayer-conditioned.
SIGN 3:
When God ordains, He sustains.
SIGN 4:
WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning
“All I can say about life is, Oh God, enjoy it!”
