Iloilo cops net Guimaras' most wanted felon
Operatives of the Oton Police Office arrested one of Guimaras' Most Wanted Felon who has since been subject of manhunt for a murder case in 2001.
In a successful police operation, tips from civilian informants proved helpful as authorities captured Olando Omani alias Boy of Barangay San Antonio, Oton. The arrest occurred in Barangay San Nicholas with not much of resistance from the 43 year-old murder suspect.
Senior Insp. Salvador Dago-on, Oton Police Chief told reporters that Omani's transfer to Guimaras is underway as official word was sent to the Guimaras Court that hears the murder case.
The arresting team was armed with an arrest warrant issued by Branch 65 of the Guimaras RTC under Presiding Judge Merlyn Deloria.
In an interview over Bombo Radyo, Senior Insp. Dago-on said surveillance was conducted prior to the actual arrest even as numerous tips were received by the Oton Police Office.
