IDFI gains P1.5 M in 2006 Dinagyang festival
Iloilo City -- Finally, the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc. (IDFI) released its financial report that showed they only gained P1,501,551.72 from the entire celebration.
In the financial report which covered the period from March 1, 2005 to February 15, 2006 the foundation has total receipts of P11,597,090 and total disbursements of P10,095,538.28. The financial statement was signed by IDFI Executive Director Benito Jimena, Lee Chuan, president and Melba Celia Chua.
However, the same financial report did not contain the beginning balance or the remaining amount the foundation was able to save in the preceding Dinagyang celebration. The financial report only centers on the 2006 total receipts and total expenditures.
Of the number of contributions, P8,000,000 came from the Smart Communications; P1,000,000 (city government); P3,000,000 (provincial government); P100,000 (President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo); P100,000 (E-PLDT Ventus); P40,000 (Robinsons Land); P175,000 (San Miguel Corp); P150,000 (Pepsi-Cola); P100,000 (SM-City); P10,000 (Postal Bank); P30,000 (Veterans Bank); P50,000 (MIWD); P30,000 (PCSO); P100,000 (DOT); P100,000 (Sun Life Financial); P80,000 (GMA Network); P100,000 (Orchard Property); P10,000 (Passi Sugar); P10,000 (JECO); P40,000 (IHHRA); P40,000 (Chowking); P78,000 (Kasadyahan); P683,000 (stage ticket sales); P210,840 (kiosks); P38,400 (Ms. Dinagyang ticket sales); P450 (leis) and P21,000 from photo contest regulation fee.
The expenditures did not only include the holding of the yearly ati festival but also of the Chinese New Year. The expenses for the tribes reached to P2,965,000; P445,000 Kasadyahan; P1,414,113 marketing; P997,970.53 executive committee; P825,000 prizes and awards; stage P312,255.62; P180,000 stage control and ticket sales; P426,198.40 judging; P38,000 communications; P300,000 liturgical; P30,000 bulilit; P100,000 sanitation; P70,000 health and first aid; P230,000 peace and order; P40,000 traffic; P405,000 publicity and media relations; P120,000 exhibits and P250,000 for Miss Dinagyang.
The other expenses incurred by the foundation during the festival were P50,000 Museo Iloilo; P100,000 badminton; P300,000 golf; P15,000 fluvial; P25,000 reception committee; P13,500 security committee; P70,500 thanksgiving; P150,000 fireworks; P200,000 Chinese New Year and P23,000 for photo contest.
