Drug raid nets two in Jaro
Iloilo City -- Call it rotten timing but it was such for 38 year-old Ramil Ledesma and 24 year-old John Bales who ended up in jail after a visit to a common friend's house in Jaro, Iloilo City.
Both the visit and the house got them into trouble after police operatives entered the premises minutes after they were there, the residence being that of suspected drug pushers Celso and Roy Huertas.
The visiting duo's crime? Visiting a drug den that got them detention time pending the charges police is out to file today.
The raiding team was armed with arrest warrants signed by Judge Ma. Elena Opinion of Branch 27, 6th RTC. Yet no Huertas siblings were found inside the family residence in Barangay Simon Ledesma in Jaro District and instead, it was Ledesma who is a resident of Infante, Molo and Bales of Ungka, Jaro who were chanced upon.
Recoveries include a number of plastic sachets of suspected Shabu or 'poor man's cocaine', eight empty plastic sachet packs with residue also believed to be that of Shabu and various drug paraphernalia.
