Who is afraid of Gloria?
There are a hundred and thousand reasons why some people are afraid of Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Topping the list is former actor turned politician Joseph Estrada better known in the showbiz industry-the world of make-believe-as Erap, an inverted word for Pare, which means comrade in Da King's language. It is a common practice, an acceptable norm for addressing a colleague in the showbiz circle ever popularized by who else but Erap himself.
There is a valid reason for the former president to get scared of Gloria. Joseph wasn't really fond of his former vice-president and that's a fact he can never deny in front of his forefather's graves.
I could smell his hatred towards this petite woman, blessed with so much intellect and courage from Someone up there. Her abundant wisdom beyond reproach compensates for whatever physical imperfection she has in life.
The false accusations, not to mention the insults he hurled at Gloria, right after he was ousted from presidency due to corruption, making a mockery out of her is a dishonorable act beyond diplomatic protocol. I say, it is also beyond forgiveness. If only for this he deserves to be hanged upside down to compliment his habitual practice of inverting things in their normal original forms.
Joseph should really be afraid as his imminent conviction which could result to lifetime imprisonment for looting the nation amidst poverty and political instability since its verdict is about to be handed in sooner or later.
His melodramatic approach in the court instead of facing the accusations against him fair and square was done in a theatrical manner. Indeed, he is an actor at par. Only at times he has the tendency to deliver his lines obviously from a movie script just like his bosom friend who had gone ahead of him to join the world of beyond-beyond. Sarcasm here is not intended.
Who is afraid of Gloria?
Accidental President Corazon "Cory" Cojuangco Aquino I would say should have retired completely from politics right after her presidency. She should have contented herself writing a memoir. She could have reminisced the good old days while enjoying herself with her grandchildren in a rocking chair.
Yet, she opted to resurrect her dying political career when at the height of the Garci tapes scandal, she and her bunch of lapdogs came out publicly and demanded for the resignation of Gloria.
According to the grapevine Cory was peeved with Gloria's closeness to the former First Lady Imelda Marcos and first cousin Danding Cojuangco whom until this day strongly believe both somehow had a hand with the assassination of her famous husband former Sen. Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino.
Even part of their vast Hacienda Luisita could possibly be acquired by their hundreds if not thousands of sugarcane laborers under the Agrarian Land Reform Program which should have been implemented at the time of her presidency.
Who is afraid of Gloria?
The youthful solon from Sorsogon, Francisco "Chiz" Escudero is. The possibility of losing his chance to become a senator is a nightmare he will be facing as the proposal of amending the constitution through Charter Change is massively gaining ground from the grassroots level with the support of Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo herself.
The loud and scheming act of Escudero lambasting Gloria through his teeth reminds me of Sen. Panfilo Lacson then former PNP Chief. His acidic tongue and poker face makes him appear perfectly like a clone of Lacson. Just the act of thinking the possibility of his becoming a senator gives me an unexplained creeping severe sensation all over my body.
Who is afraid of Gloria?
I can enumerate a lot but for sure this won't fit all in this page. Even our very own beloved Senate President Franklin Drilon perhaps has his own share of getting scared of Gloria. For whatever reasons would that be let's just respect him for that.
Who else is afraid of Gloria?
Former DSWD Secretary Dinky Soliman and her cohorts of the infamous Hyatt 10 are. This midget has the temerity to attack the person of her former boss after leaving her post thinking perhaps she might be getting a fortune out of treachery.
Of course she got a reward out of her "heroic" deeds, karma that's it.
Who is afraid of Gloria?
Some clowns at the House of Congress and at the House of Senate are. The Communist Party of the Philippines, the leftists, the rightists, and the fanatic followers of the former actor are. Simply because for only a single reason - all are afraid of change -the Charter Change, a key to the future of economic progress and political stability on which Gloria has been openly supportive of the move.
