Pray and repent
In the advent of the Lenten season I would like to take this opportunity to wish spiritual contentment to the following:
Former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada should finally find peace in his heart. He should forget the obsession to get the presidency back to his lap as it was really not meant for him. Not in his dreams, not in his nightmares not in reality.
Instead of instigating people to revolt against this government out of greed for power, fame and fortune, Erap might as well use his energy for unification - that, if he is really sincere.
Still I could see him salivating no end at the slightest sight of watching Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo sitting in the throne of power since the time of his imprisonment due to corruption.
For penitence I want him to pray from sunrise to sunset before the altar, kneeling in a bed of broken glasses. The physical pain he will experience for sure is peanuts compared to the effect of destruction his fanatics had done to the nation. I wish that a simple little prayer seeking for forgiveness may take his sins away from him.
Actress Susan Roces a.k.a. Mrs. FPJ on the other hand must start gurgling a cup full of hot chili to cleanse her guttery mouth and keep it immaculately fresh for life. Her uncalled ballistic remarks in the past against the president's person need immediate exorcism from a priest. What a way to destruct oneself -- to think she has been considered as one of the most dignified and respectable personalities in the local film industry.
Ms. Roces is already an icon. Her name is synonymous to legend. She has a name to protect. She could have preserved this; leave a legacy worth remembering. She should have not allowed herself used by corrupt politicians to enhance their political ambitions.
The trouble with this widow is, perhaps she is not bestowed with a gift of discernment. For her misdeeds, she may heed to my unsolicited advice: repent, repent, repent...!
Youthful Sorsogon Congressman Francisco "Chiz" Escudero has a bright future ahead of him. I believe he has the makings of a great political leader, if only he remains consistently steadfast in his cause. He should mean what he says, and say what he means.
Apparently, he has the tendency to beat around the bush when it comes to decision making as far as the opposition's rotten system of belief is concerned. Sad to say, he and his kind are partly to be blamed in the political upheavals besetting this nation. What a waste of talent -- so young, yet so corrupt in ideology.
For your enlightenment, get hold a miraculous bed of rosary from the late Mother Theresa of Calcutta who is soon to be canonized for sainthood. I've heard it is commercially sold in front of Quiapo and Baclaran churches for a minimal price.
Meanwhile I would advise you to pray any rosary of your choice until you get the genuine ones. Don't forget to recite the Hail Mary, Our Father, Glory Be to the Father and the four different mysteries (joyful, sorrowful, glorious and light) for your salvation. Amen...?
The aging Sen. Aquilino Pimentel must take advantage of his Lenten vacation in meditation if he wants to cleanse everything in him, from the strand of his hair down to the tip of his toes. The character of this man has reflected the antiquity of his intelligence which begins to deteriorate as the year passes by. I wonder if it was the trauma of the "dagdag-bawas" scheme on which he was a victim once and left him emotionally unstable for quite sometime.
Pimentel's advancing age has turned him into a prophet of doom. To put it bluntly, Pimentel is getting "tumatandang-paurong." But, all isn't hopeless yet, would he seek a medical advice from a neurologist. Pimentel seems having difficulty in identifying the truth from lies, the genuine from hoax and, his friends from his foes. It is for the best interest of the nation that Pimentel could regain his consciousness for health.
To materialize my wish, I suggest Pimentel spend his holy week of spreading the word of God instead of the voice of evil by castigating the person of Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Their will to pull the president down into the drain would drag them the same in the process.
Pimentel and his allies must think a thousand times before leaping into the pit of hell.
I'm just too happy and willing would Pimentel, et al, join me in a trek going to the top of Mt. Kanlaon to spend my spiritual escapade.
Isn't this a noble idea of love and unification for the sake of our beloved country? There is still hope. Life at the end of the tunnel is beautiful and bountiful.
Let's pray and repent!
