OPINION POLLS
Do we have to be afraid of the "Da Vinci Code?" Why? What do you think of it?
ELISA DUSARAN
Nope... There is nothing to be afraid about it. As long as we know the truth. The whole truth is all in the bible not in anyone's theory.
CARMEL CASTANARES
No. the church had experienced worst than the Da Vinci Code and it just grew stronger. Nothing can shake it because its foundation is Jesus Christ. Da Vinci Code will impel the lukewarm to know more their faith and for sure they will find its beauty and truth.
GOODEE ARANCILLO
If you have a strong faith, why be afraid? Anyway it is just fiction.
CANDY CAMPOS
I've seen the movie, haven't read the book. If you are intellectually intelligent, well accept Da Vinci Code as it is. There is more religious expose in the Catholic church which has been labeled as taboo. And it's a Roman Catholic religious war worldwide out there.
ERMI HOSENILLA
No. Just a sensational plot. But, nothing more than a good read.
DR. ED DIAZ
NO! Da Vinci Code is just like any other movies, a product of imagination of the author. Maybe he just wants to earn big money. Just have faith and read the bible.
DENNIS GARGANERA
Afraid? NO! Let's just enjoy it, it is worth every penny. But then again if Juan de la Cruz has still a penny to pay... that I guess is what I'm afraid of.
BOBOT PAMPOLINA, JR.
Da Vinci Code is a fictional story containing factual characters and inconsistent historical facts and events. The book and movie might mislead the faithful, therefore Church authorities must not keep their silence but do their roles as pastors in explaining and not as fiscalizers of political issues.
DORIS NAVARRO
No. Da Vinci Code is a very good and entertaining work of fiction that deals with alternative history. It should be appreciated as such and not to be taken as a threat to one's beliefs or faith.
GLO GUADARRAMA-SAULOG
No. If your faith is unshakable, if your understanding of history and art is sufficient, if you are able to discern fact from fiction.
HAZEL HORMILLOSA
If you have enough faith, you don't have to fear the Da Vinci Code at all. If you really think about it, nobody really knows the absolute truth. What the book/movie reveals maybe right or wrong yet there's no saying it is true or false. Bottomline, it is how you live your life that counts. Live by the Golden Rule and no amount of doubt in your head can ever cloud the faith in your heart.
CIRILO CALABIO
Da Vinci Code is one good movie this summer that presents the other probable side of our savior Jesus' life. Personally, it does not even lessen my faith as a Christian upon seeing the movie, browsing the book and reading other books that decodes and critique Dan Brown's novel! It even widens my perspective as a believer to someone up there! If the story really tells the truth or not, our salvation still lies in our faith and our complete understanding of our Christianhood. The possibility of the validity of film is not solely viewed in that film adaptation of Dan Brown novel but on how we deeply believe what is contained in the BIBLE. As a person, I completely understand that our salvation still depends on GOD's GRACE! Why should we feel threatened? We better contemplate and examine our conscience and define our self and our faith. We may not understand about HIM but our continuous search for HIS guidance and refuge will ultimately liberate our confusion in knowing HIM -- not upon reading or watching DA VINCI CODE!
FICO CUERVO
No! I think it is pure fantasy! It is just like porno, some people get offended while others enjoy....
DADO TAN
Nope. No need to be afraid. It does not implicate a disastrous effect in our faith. The movie was totally different from the book. It's like any other fiction movies where imagination was used at its best. And in storytelling, the best way to start it is by asking "what if..." The movie is a big "what if..."
CHIT JON
It is very OFFENSIVE! What Brown is doing amounts to smearing the most important and sacred beliefs of millions of people for the sake of getting his novel on the bestseller list.
CHRISTIA ABLONA
Of course not... Da Vinci Code is half true. It is up to you to believe or not...
EUGENE BORRES-LUCERO
Anyone who intends to watch this movie should remember that this is just a movie. Fiction! That is why it is called a movie! Now, if you are someone who can't distinguish r-e-a-l from r-e-e-l then, don't help yourself by not watching. If you are scared that you will change your faith after watching... then play safe by not watching.
DODO DIMAGUILA
Da Vinci Code is fiction and as such should not be feared. But that does not mean the writer nor the producer does not have any responsibility towards the public. Especially since the author wants to make it appear that it is based on fact. A disclaimer should be included in the movie.
GAY LIM
As the author said, it is fiction but it will confuse the minds of people who from the start have less or little knowledge of the bible. If you want to be entertained, watch the movie.
EMMA NAVA
Nope, I watched and enjoyed the movie. My faith is still as strong as ever. Marketing strategy lahat yon, in my opinion.
CHRIS ANDAYA
No. But the Da Vinci Code is just a waste of time and money if you watch it. We know it is not true and no lessons to be learned. Watching it will only motivate the people behind it to do either a sequel of it or another movie like St. John as Mary Magdalene's second husband after Christ's death. Will probably watch it on HBO nalang.
ELMA TANEÑA
No, why should we be afraid of a book that the author declares to be fictional. If your faith is strong then we have nothing to worry about.
