Sing-Kabuhi: Harmony captured in art
Art depicts one's personality and emotions. It breathes life into our dreams. It brings the mirage of imagination into reality.
Last May 18, 2006, Gallerie Artesons at the Art Republic of Robinsons Place in Iloilo was filled with captivating artworks. Sing-Kabuhi (Life-Song), an art exhibit that features the works of artist Benji Belgica, opened last Thursday afternoon.
Art enthusiasts gathered and filled the gallery as Stella Lourdes Camara and Josef Vlady de los Reyes soulfully sang "The Prayer". Dr. Tetchie Lim-Layson, Dr. Dennis Aguirre, Mr. Bing Gascon, and Mr. Jomari Layson came to grace the ocassion. Likewise, JBLCF's Dr. Marilou Arcelo marvelled over Belgica's sculptures. Robinson's Place-Iloilo Mall Manager Ditas Taleon, Winner Promotions' Erwin Chiogson, and TNT's Marichel Magalona were present.
The Master's Touch Kid Chorale, with their choir trainer and conductress Miss Fely Aragon-Batiloy and accompanist Mrs. Divina Anatan, offered songs like "Buhay, Bahay ng Isang Bata", "People, People, People", "I'm a Great Big Bundle", and "Power of the Dream".
Belgica's molded pieces of singing women were made out of terracota clay. Also included in the exhibit are his magnificent mix media painting.
Winner Promotions and Banucci Artworks are the forces behind the Sing-Kabuhi Art Exhibit.
