Former Congresswoman Emily R. Lopez celebrated her birthday last week in a very special way--by making day care children from Iloilo and Guimaras happy.
Last Friday pre-schoolers from the districts of Jaro and La Paz were treated into an afternoon of fun and birthday treats at the Jaro Covered Gym.
Inday Emily, as she is fondly called by friends and supporters, was joined by her husband former Congressman Alberto Lopez, and the officers of the Taos Puso Foundation, Inc. led by its Executive Director Atty. Jobert Peñaflorida.
Also gracing the meaningful occasion were Mayor Jerry Treñas, Vice Mayor Guillermo Dela Llana, Mrs. Pacita Gonzalez, wife of Justice Sec. Raul Gonzalez, Sr., Nielex Tupas, representing his father Gov. Niel Tupas, Sr., Alimodian Mayor Juanito Alipao and his wife Mary Lou and some barangay captains of Jaro and La Paz districts.
Coinciding with the celebration is the launching of the Iloilo City expansion of Taos Puso Foundation, Inc. where the new set of member of the Board of Directors and TPFI Coordinators of Jaro and La Paz were inducted into office.

The celebration with city kids was only part of Emily Lopez's three-day birthday celebration which started on Thursday with the pre-schoolers of Jordan, Nueva Valencia, Sibunag, San Lorenzo and Buenavista towns in Guimaras.
