51 Ilonggo convicts start Munti stint
Fifty-one Ilonggo convicts began serving time inside the National Bilibid Penitentiary in Muntinlupa City, home of the country's hardened criminals following the latest shipment made by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) here.
Six from among the group face life imprisonment while three with jail sentence of Reclusion Perpetua. Four women convicts also made it in the recent transfer including Iloilo City's Anita Goriona who will be inside the country's most secured penitentiary for life in a drug conviction.
In a report, Senior Inspector Gilbert Peremne of the 6th BJMP confirmed the "shipment" to The News Today (TNT) with the transfer made amidst tight security.
Bacolod City had 14 of its former prisoners in the Munti-travel led by Kidnapping with Murder convicts Agustin Seva and Edilberto Lorada. Both were sentenced with Reclusion Perpetua.
Kabankalan City Jail were rid of nine convicts led by convicted murderers Raul Martinez, Jay Jabagat, Panoy Natalon and Joebert Mahinay while Silay City Jail shipped six of their own, two for reclusion perpetua convictions on murder charges, Aquilino Divinagracia and Andy Jaen and another for Life Imprisonment, Fernando Aranas for a drug charge.
Victorias City Jail remitted one, homicide convict Allan Polana, Mambusao Municipal Jail had three, Rene Villasis for homicide, Ernesto Balaquio for murder and Roger de Guzman for Homicide.
Roxas City Jail had six in the group led by drug convict Eldie Abalo sentenced to life imprisonment, Dumalag Municipal Jail with one in murder convict Herminio Hablero and two from Culasi Municipal Jail led by murder convict Jonie Montales sentenced to life imprisonment.
Two other Iloilo City prisoners, Fortunato Martizano and Rudy Tupas were also in the same 'shipment', Martizano for his two counts of Frustrated Murder conviction and Tupas for theft.
