Jaki Peñalosa
A dash of rock 'n roll inspired frocks, a profusion of ethnic infused wares and a bundle of chic dressing to define what could be an exciting holiday season of fashion. Robinson's Place Iloilo's Holiday Forecast fashion show showed that Bayo, Maldita, Jaki Peñalosa, Saranggola and Ichi Pichi could practically cover all the trends, fads and fashion pronouncements of the styles capital for fiery fashionistas to even want more. And they offered more!
Bayo
The ease of ready-to-wear or pret-a-porter can't be denied. With the proliferation of styles being copied directly from the catwalks, fresh ideas are turned into mass wares that are snapped up easily by shoppers. Thus, fashionable shoppers get updated with what is considered to be chic or of the moment at a lesser price, of course.
Bayo was heavily inspired by the booming rock scene of the country. It's no wonder they got Barbie Almalbis and Kitchie Nadal to star in their latest campaign. Translated, they have rock jaunt-ready looks like black leggings paired with puff sleeved tee in graphic black stripes. Tanks, tops and skirts are also in inky black paired with wide belts.
Saranggola
Maldita showed stretchy pieces in chic brown and orange. Their pieces are practical and sexy at the same time. Cool cotton, saturated colors and ruffled details highlight their collection.
Saranggola sent out big belts paired with ethnic-inspired print pieces, crocheted boleros and tops with knotted details. Their collection is whimsical, urban and bohemian.
Maldita
Ichi Pichi capitalized on their strong accessories. Pieces were built up around luscious ropes of stones and trinkets. The statement is layered pieces with layered accessories. Bold, mismatched pendants and glittering studs punctuate pieces of lace, ruffles and draped jersey.
Ichi Pichi
Jaki Peñalosa was in a romantic mood. She sent confections of tiered gowns with organza, embroidery and volume. If before she favored columnar statements then her latest pieces capitalized on volume, airiness and embellishments that are fit for a magical holiday event.
Holiday dressing is a no-brainer affair with the help of brands who truly know what shoppers want.
