Treñas questions CPDO's budget proposal
City Mayor Jerry Treñas reportedly got mad on the proposal of City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) headed by Jose Roni Peñalosa asking for a more than P1 million budget for next year.
Majority Floor Leader Eduardo Peñaredondo disclosed that Treñas was surprised of the requested amount.
It was not immediately known where the proposed budget would go, but the majority floor leader was indicating that there is a miscalculation of budget for "job order" workers.
Peñaredondo said because of said miscalculation the office budget for each city councilor was slashed by P2,000 each.
Meanwhile, city councilors showed different "strategies" to evade people asking Christmas gifts from them.
Some councilors leave the Session Hall even before the session ends. Others hurriedly left the hall after the session, while there are also some who opted to stay inside the conference room and wait until all the people are gone.
Last Wednesday's session is the last session at the Sangguniang Panglungsod for this year. There is no office on December 25 until the 26th. The staff could not prepare the agenda for the Wednesday's session.
