Oso ‘barks’ at Armada
‘I will not dignify him,’ vice guv reacts

Board Member Domingo Oso (Fourth District, Iloilo) is now on the offensive with attacks on his apparent favorite target, Vice Governor Roberto “Obet” Armada.
With questions raised on the educational attainment of the Vice Governor and criticisms hurled on supposed “poor performance” in the Provincial Board, Oso in radio interviews hit Armada alongside colleagues known as the “conscience bloc.”
In a lengthy interview yesterday (Tuesday) with Rhod Tecson of Radio Mindanao Network (RMN), said Fourth District board member derided anew the Vice Governor on issues of attendance in the regular session and handling of the concerns that has since divided the Legislative body.
Interestingly enough though, Oso in one major gathering of Board Members from the Visayas proudly introduced Armada as “one of my brilliant students.”
The shift and ‘change of heart’ Capitol insiders said was brought by Oso’s strengthened alliance with Governor Niel Tupas amidst supposed promised to make him as the official contender for Vice Governor in the forthcoming elections.
Reached for comment, Armada refused to address Oso’s sentiments saying “I will not dignify him.” Instead, the Vice Governor shared a prayer that he said is best offered for Board Member Oso.
“Pray for those who pulls you down because they do not know how to pull themselves up,” Armada in a reaction told The News Today (TNT). No further comment on the issue was made.
Meantime, talks abound on the Vice Governor’s gubernatorial bid as local alliances were reported to have been intensified in the past weeks. More ‘surprises’ are said to be firmed up with solid links on key personalities in the local and provincial political arena set to be disclosed.
Armada is said to be bent on running for governor “or he will not run at all.”
Third District Congressman Arthur Defensor when asked on Armada’s plans told reporters that the vice governor’s “winnability” is largely dependent on Ilonggo solons.
“That is very true,” Armada quipped when asked for reaction. “I acknowledge that particularly since the four incumbent Representatives – Garin in the First District, Syjuco in the Second District, Defensor in the Third District, Biron in the Fourth District - are virtual winners in their respective districts. Representative Rolex Suplico of course is on his last term.
